Elena Salmistraro, Fulvia Mendini, and Lida Ziruffo bring rich palettes of eye-popping patterns just in time to match the blossoming flora this spring season. Elena Salmistraro
Product designer and artist, born in the 1983, Elena Salmistraro lives and works in Milan. She works as a designer and artist/illustrator for the leading companies in the creative industry, including Apple, Disney, Vitra, Lavazza, Alessi, Bosa, Seletti, De Castelli, Cc-Tapis, Moooi, Timberland, Re-play, LondonArt, Lithea, Emmemobili, Luisa Via Roma, Yoox, NasonMoretti, Texturae, Stone Ita-liana, and many others. Besides, she collaborates with prestigious Art and Design Galleries, such as Dilmos, Rossana Orlandi, Camp Design Gallery, Subalterno1 and Secondome. In 2017 she was awarded with the “Best Emerging Designer Award” at Salone del Mobile “Salone del Mobile Milano Award”. In 2018 she was appointed Ambassador of Brera Design District for FuoriSalone in the occasion of Milan Furniture Fair and for this circumstance she designed an installation in collaboration with Timberland in the very heart of the district. In 2018 in the occasion of Marmomac - Verona, International marble fair, she was awarded with the “Icon Award” with the project Marea, in collaboration with Vicentina Marmi Elena Salmistraro’s works have been displayed at major Italian and international design industry fairs, including Salone Internazionale del Mobile - Milano, Maison&Objet - Paris, Marmomac - Verona, Cersaie - Bologna), Stockholm furniture and light fair - Stockholm.
Fulvia Mendini
She was born in 1966 in Milan, where she currently lives and works. Fulvia is the daughter of Alessandro Mendini, the world renowned designer and architect. After obtaining a degree in Illustration and Design at IED, she worked in the Atelier Mendini. She then dedicated herself to painting research. At first her style comes off as very personal and decorative, with a particular interest in nature and pictures. Her paintings are influenced both by the graphic design and illustration for kids and by the tradition of Arts and Crafts. Outside the medium of painting she devoted herself also to creation of jewels, glass and bags. Her works have been on display at Grand Palais de Paris, at Expo International di Taejon in Corea, at Triennale di Milano, at Biennal of Prague, and also in many different international galleries such as Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea. She is part of the Byblos Art Hotel collection of Verona and, with some mosaics in the underground station in Naples.
Lida Ziruffo
REPAIRROT is a lively new design by Italian designer Lida Ziruffo for the Cinelli Art Program. The Cinelli Art Program is a new product series that features limited edition design collaborations by our artist friends. Lida is inspired by nature and likes to play and mix 60’s New York and advertising graphics with the straight lines of London’s suburbs and echoes of the big and small jazz clubs of New Orleans. The cap is easily worn under a helmet and looks great at the cafe stop too, making it the ideal accessory to match any kit choice.
