Among the many reasons we enjoy carrying Cinelli products at Cento, are their exciting capsule releases, featuring vibrant artists from around the globe. We’ve recently stocked items from two of their iconic artists, Ana Benaroya and Mike Giant. Each has his and her own style, that defines that rider celebrating their designs.
Ana Benaroya
Ana Benaroya is an artist based in Jersey City, New Jersey. She is the author and illustrator of 120 Ways to Annoy Your Mother (And Influence People) and the author of Illustration Next.
Ana has contributed artwork designs for New York's Lincoln Center, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Ralph Lauren, and Simon and Shuster, in addition to her design collaborations with Cinelli.
Available at Cento, are several distinct cycling caps. Each design celebrates a vibrant, comical and colorful approach. Whether it’s the Slime design, that evokes a Ghostbusters vibe, or the Cyclops cap that is a pleasure to look at, fun is a central component to the kit. We’ve even stocked the matching Poseidon Socks and Cap.
According to Cinelli, “Ana says that being a decent human being is her proudest accomplishment. When not drawing, screen-printing, or Photoshopping, Ana can be found consuming large amounts of hot sauce, usually with a turkey sandwich of sorts.” Find her current work on Ana’s Instagram Feed.
Mike Giant
With sharp, contrasting lines, Giant is a master of black and white. It is no wonder then, that his style s internationally known in tattoo and graffiti. Mike Giant is also an icon of the mid-1990s underground movement in San Francisco, as evident in his many skateboard graphic designs.
The legendary street and tattoo artist, lent his talents to Cinelli for an unmistakable merchandise capsule collection. Over the years he has been working on an ongoing collaboration with Cinelli which has included catalogue cover art, posters, handlebar tape and Cinelli RAM Mike Giant Edition.
Available at Cento, are Giant’s skull & snake musette bag, patterned Ass Saver rear fender, and headwear options - knit beanie and cycling cap - for stylish riding cold weather.
“I never set out to be an artist who pushed [any] kind of agenda,” Giant told Complex Magazine. “It just happens naturally.”
