Dressing for cold weather riding can be more difficult than warm weather riding. What works for you depends so much on the outside temperature, the pace you ride at, and your own personal comfort level. With the right jacket and base layer selection along with good gloves, booties and a skull cap you can be comfortable riding in pretty much any weather conditions.
Base layers are designed to contour the body without restricting movement. Their purpose is to add warmth but also to wick moisture away from the body. We have a number of base layers from Outwet ranging from sleeveless to long sleeve, and lightweight to heavy weight. The right base layer with the right jacket is key. Dressing for winter riding successfully is an art and a science. Please call us or email us for advice on jacket and/or base layer selection. We're happy to help.
- For temperatures below 38 degrees we recommend the Etxe Ondo Thermolite Base Layer.
- For temperatures 39-47 degrees we recomend the Outwet EP3 Base Layer in Black or White.
- For temperatures 48-55 degrees we recommend the Outwet LP3 Base Layer in Gray or White.
